Challenge fund
Functional Standards Common Glossary, published by the Cabinet Office, defines a challenge fund a: ‘…a pot of funding that has pre-published criteria attached to it. Organisations can apply to the fund and will receive a grant where they meet the published criteria. Challenge funds often have several rounds of applications. This would be considered competed funding.’
